Mike Shaugness 71 deluxe, came in due to starting issues. an inspection showed considerable corrosion on the battery cables, defective wiring on the charging system, vacuum leaks in the carburetor and intake and improper cooling due to incorrect tin and l

A compression test resulted in 0 compression on cylinders 1 and 2. Inspection of the valves revealed that all of the valves were tight resulting in open valves during the firing sequence. cylinders 3 and 4 had the same results on both exhaust valves.

The fire wall tin is for a beetle and leaves a large gap for hot air to be sucked into the engine compartment. the oil cooler ducting has a large gap in it allowing for the same.
